Are you a brand new Odyssey of the Mind coach? If so, this training is for you!

This introductory training is designed to help you begin your journey through

the 2010- 2011 Odyssey of the Mind Season.

This training will cover:

·         Overview of the Odyssey of the Mind Program

·         A focus on the two main components: The Long-Term Problem and Spontaneous

·         Suggested timelines

·         Some coaching Do’s and Don’t Do’s

·         Brainstorming strategies

·         Team building

·         Activities to try with your team

·         Elements of Stagecraft

·         Local and online resources

·         Key local dates and events for coaches and their teams

Please note: TheNew Coaches’ Training has been very successful over the past few years. We will cover essentially the same material, so if you attended a previous year's training, you are now an OotM veteran! Later on in the OotM 2010-2011 “Season” there will be events open to all coaches and their teams. Announcements will be emailed to coordinators as well as posted on this website…Note: If you are a program coordinator who hasn't actually coached, it's a good idea for you to attend this training.
