SCORE CHECKER DUTIES
Go to the Score room and get trained!
- Be familiar with the problem and all its scoring elements
- Check each of the judge's score sheets for completeness and reasonableness:
- If an element can receive 1-10 points, make sure a judge didn't give 12 points!
- If an element can receive a score of 0 or 5 or 10 (objective scoring), make sure no judge gave a score other than 0 or 5 or 10.
- If any penalties have been assessed, ensure that each judge has given the exact same number of penalty points.
- Check for omission of any scoring elements.
- If any judge has made an error in any of the above, have the judge or judges adjust his/her score.
- Compile all totals and averages according to instructions from the score room.
- Remember to put the total for each Long Term Problem Judge on each individual judge's score sheet.
- Transfer the averaged Long Term scores to the NCR score sheet
- Transfer any penalty and the reason for it to the NCR score sheet
- Transfer the averaged Style scores to the Master Style Form
- Transfer the "sticky notes" from the individual judges to the Pink copy of the NCR form
- Separate the White sheet of the NCR score sheet, combine it with the style scores and all the paperwork for a given team and put it in the team's envelope.
Paperwork includes:
- Averaged Long Term scores (White NCR sheet)
- Averaged Style scores (Master Style Form)
- The individual Long Term judges' score sheets (3)
- The Style judges' score sheets (3)
- Staging Area Checklist
- Problem Clarifications (if any)
- Outside Assistance Form
- Materials Cost Form
- The "List"
- Any graphic or written documentation.
The completed envelope is now ready to go to the score room. A "runner" may come by to retrieve scores. Otherwise, drop scores by the score room when you go to lunch.
Give the Yellow and Pink copies of the NCR form to the Head Judge
